Located in the the Town of Brookhaven in Suffolk County, New York, Farmingville is a hamlet with a population of almost 17,000. Just 50 miles east of New York, Farmingville combines the excitement of a big city with the comfort and peacefulness of a small town feel. Its proximity to Long Island Mac Arthur Airport makes it easily accessible from all directions. There are plenty of things to do while in Farmingville - plan an entire day of fun at Smith Point Park Beach, Atlantis Marine World Aquarium or Country Fair Entertainment Park; visit the Cradle of Aviation Museum to learn about the aviation heritage of Long Island or Long Island Children's Museum - a hands-on museum for kids to play, learn and have fun. In recent years Farmingville has been a focal point of controversy because of its anti-immigration sentiments and a number of members of the community have protested the lack of immigration-law enforcement policies in the hamlet.
