Farmingville offers a wide variety of attractions - whether you're on a romantic getaway or a fun trip for the whole family, there's something for everyone's taste. The Brookhaven Amphitheatre is an arts and cultural center, featuring famous performers, movies and entertainment. All shows are "rain or shine" and will not be canceled due to inclement weather. There is a concession on premises offering hot and cold foods, beverages and snacks.

Cousins Paintball in Coram is the only outdoor woods facility on Long Island of its kind. It has 26 individual paintball fields spread out over 88 acres. With full day access to one of the best outdoor paintball facilities in the world you and your friends can experience the incredible fun and excitement of the game.

The American Airpower Museum in Farmingdale is a place where history is kept alive - 65 years ago, the current home of the American Airpower Museum at Republic Airport was a crucial part of the "Arsenal of Democracy". Home to Republic Aviation, the complex produced over 9,000 P-47 Thunderbolts. Visitors can walk in the hangars and control towers where World War II aircrafts were readied for war, and then watch them taxi to the same runways and take to the air.

The Fish Hatchery & Aquarium in Cold Springs is another fun place to visit; after serving as a New York State Trout Hatchery for 99 years, the establishment opened as a non-profit educational center dedicated to educating its visitors about the freshwater ecosystems of New York. They pride themselves with having the largest living collection of New York State freshwater reptiles, fish and amphibians. Guests can tour the two aquarium buildings and eight outdoor ponds, feeding the hungry trout or trying "Catch & Keep Fishing" along the way.

Adventureland Amusement Park, " Long Island's Amusement Park since 1962," is an exciting attraction the entire family can enjoy. With 30 rides, games, arcade, new prizes and food, kids can find plenty of thrills to fill a day here. Try the heavy winds and turns of the Hurricane, Top Scan and the Lady Bug for an incredible experience.

Stony Brook is a small town on the North Shore of Long Island, known primarily for its State University of New York Stony Brook campus. The town is populated largely by students at SUNY Stony Brook, which is responsible for most of the local recreation, activities and events. Founded by Ward Melville as an ideal New England village in the early 1900s, the town retains and embraces its quaint charm, reflected in its architecture and atmosphere, even amidst a recent boom in housing growth.

Village Green Mini Golf and Kids Town in Lake Ronkonkoma has three separate 18-hole courses designed by skill level. Kids can easily sink a putt on the animal-themed beginner course, while the "Wizard of Oz"-themed medium course is perfect for families. The difficult course teams with water traps, steep slopes and other precise putting obstacles. Kids-Town also features inflatable rides and slides, water wars and more kid-friendly fun.

The Cathedral Pines County Park in Middle Island is a 320 acre site, situated along the headwaters of the Carmans River. Facilities include campsites, 10 of which have water and electric hookups. Picnic sites and the George Broome Memorial Activity Building are also available. Adjacent to Cathedral Pines Park is Prosser Pines Nature Preserve, which features a majestic stand of white pines planted in 1812. Prosser Pines is a popular site for hikers and photographers.

The Wildlife and Ecology Center in nearby Holtsville features amenities and attractions like a triple pool complex, exercise-trail fitness course, nature preserve and ecology center with mountain lions and eagles, ecology exhibits and tours, greenhouses, a picnic area, a zoo and more.
